Hello from London - where we had our hottest day of the year this week! 🥵
This means it’s time for gazpacho - a chilled Spanish soup which is basically a salad in a blender which you can drink to cool down.
It’s excellent fodder for your gut bugs to thrive on - full of fibre and polyphenols in all the texture and colour from the veg and dressing.
So this post contains 2 short videos for you on how to make it in minutes (one above, the other below).
As you’ll see I had to do it in 2 segments because I forgot a very important element. 😂 You’ll see when you watch.
Many people I’ve worked with in my workshops and 1-2-1 nutritional therapy tell me they find it difficult to get enough fibre and polyphenols into them each day without spending hours in the kitchen.
Gazpacho really is going to help. You just throw the ingredients in a blender and you’re ready to serve - getting 8 of your weekly 30 plants for your gut in one delicious drink (think Virgin Mary drink but better)!
You’ll also get a glance of my balcony I’ve been talking about starting to grow vegetables on. Watch this space.
Wishing you and your microbiome (gut bacteria) a good day. Because when your microbiome is healthy and well-fed it can help your immune system, digestion, mood, weight, and skin health.
Here’s to good gut health! Jeannette 🤗
PS Here’s the recipe below so you have it written down. You’ll also be able to find it whenever needed under The Gut Makeover’s “recipes” tab…
PPS in our recent poll the majority of you said let’s resume our Zoom meet-ups in September. So please put Sunday 1 September 5pm UK time in your diaries when I’m going to run a kombucha session. Full details for signing up and topic will be in my next email.
